Millions of demonstrators protests in several cities of Iran, after the petrol price rise. Though, the early hours of the protests were aimed at the petrol price rise, soon after the protests turned against the government. From the earliest moments firing on protesters began in many places and security forces killed or injured hundreds. There are even videos of female activists taking off their hijab and chanting against the Islamic Republic in front of the prison moments after their release.
