It is stated in this report that the judge allowed only four of the accused to defend themselves against the accusations, and all the accused agreed that all the accusations were baseless and that their forced confessions were the result of pressure and intimidation of the interrogators in the solitary cells of Ward 241 of the Judiciary Security and Ward 240 of the Ministry of Intelligence and considered them invalid. A source close to the family of one of these prisoners told HRANA: > The families of those who died in the fire in Evin prison also rejected the claims of the prosecutor and the representative of the Prisons Organization that the prisoners and the accused played a role in the death of their children, and blamed the authorities of Evin prison and the security institutions as the murderers of their children and declared that they had no complaints against the accused and considered them victims of this incident. The father of one of the deceased told the judge that his son was killed by 3 bullets, and he called the cause of his son's death, which was declared by the authorities to be suffocation due to smoke inhalation, a complete lie, and he categorically denied the involvement of the accused in his son's death. Other families of the deceased also mentioned that security officials and Evin prison did not allow them to see the bodies of their children. These families announced that the defendants in this case are innocent and have no complaints against them. According to another family member of these prisoners, during this session, the judge of the court prevented the lawyers of the defendants from being admitted and expelled Ramin Safarnia, the defense lawyer of Meisam Dehbanzadeh, Loghman Aminpour, Majid Roshannejad and Reza Salmanzadeh from the court. </reference> </coverage-outsourcing>
