After joining the Komala Group, he returned to the country. Upon identifying himself to the Revolutionary Guard, he was questioned for a few days and ultimately released with a letter of safe-conduct. He was later arrested by the Kamyaran Branch of the Intelligence Ministry

According to the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran he had returned to Iran after being a member of the Komala Group for a few months. He was initially detained and interrogated by the IRGC's Intelligence Unit for a few days before being released with a letter of safe conduct. He was later transferred to Rajaee Shahr Prison, where he was held for 20 days before being transferred to the Sanandaj Intelligence Ministry Office's lock-up. But now I suffer from a disease which ends in death, Cancer. A disease that cannot be treated in Iran. Due to my illness, nothing remains of me except my skin and bones.
