Shahnaz Akmali

Shahnaz Akmali (Shahnaz Karimbeigi) is a Human Rights activist. Her son, Mostafa Karimbeigi, was killed during the protests after the 2009 elections, and since then the Karimbeigi family has been under persecution by security forces

After receiving a summon for sentence enforcement, she tweeted: "During the interrogation, they said forget that you had a son; I said I can't; This is the punishment for a mother who can't forget that she had a son." <symbol-timeline></symbol-timeline>
