Anisa Samieian is a Baha'i citizen living in Rasht. She and her husband were sentenced to prison in 2023 by the Rasht Revolutionary Court.

According to the verdict issued by the third branch of the Rasht Revolutionary Court headed by Mehdi Rasekhi, Mrs. Samiyan was sentenced to seven months and 16 days for the charge of "propaganda against the state" and three years, six months and one day in prison for the charge of "educational activity and deviant propaganda contrary to the Holy Sharia of Islam". Mr. Momtazi was sentenced to seven months and 16 days for the charge of "propaganda against the state", one year and three months for the charge of "insulting the leader", and three years and six months and one day and a fine of 380 million rials for the charge of "insulting the holy law of Islam". According to HRANA's report, each of these citizens has been sentenced to 10 years and one day of deprivation of social rights. The legal basis for issuing fines and deprivation of social rights is not clear for Atlas.
