Ali Younesi

Ali Younesi is a computer engineering student at Sharif University. He was arrested in 2020 and initially charged with corruption on earth. The court dismissed the charge and sentenced him to 16 years in prison on other charges. This final ruling was against the court's opinion and was issued at the insistence of the Ministry of Intelligence.

Ali Younesi and Amir Hossein Moradi are award-winning students at the Sharif University of Technology. Ali is a silver (2016) and gold medal (2017) recipient in Iran’s National Astronomy Olympiad and China's 12th World Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad 2018 gold medal winner. <symbol-timeline></symbol-timeline>
