During the 33rd meeting of Tehran prosecution deputies council, Abbas Jafari Dolat Abadi announced that two death sentences have been issued for defendants in an "important cultural" case and said that they were "encouraging decadence and depravity under the cover of new faiths". According to Deutsche Welle, Tehran attorney general announced the death sentences to be for the charge of "corruption on earth" and said that the verdict is being reviewed by the supreme court. Based on the evidence, it seems that Marjan Davari and Karim Zargar were the two individuals he was talking about. But Atlas does not have enough evidence to prove this assumption yet

HRANA reported that Branch 47 of the Supreme Court had violated the death penalty for Marjan Davari, according to her lawyer, Mr. Erfanian. About Karim Zarger, another defendant sentenced to death, Mr.Erfanian said:
> He was also sentenced to death, and his death sentence is apparently confirmed." The charges of "committing corruption on earth, illegitimate relationships, gathering and colluding against national security and membership in the mystical sect of Eckankar
are among the charges against these two. Judge Salavati had sentenced them to death in the trial court

According to HRANA Karim Zarger was executed in Rajaei Shahr prison in Karaj. Some domestic media wrote about the case that Mr. Zarger and his wife would have women come to their office in Gandhi Street for treatment and received a huge tuition" as well as having sex with them. Based on these reports, they were tried in the Branch 6 of the Tehran Penal Court in addition to the Revolutionary Court for "rape", and Mr. Zarger was also sentenced to death there. The Iranian government has charged "rape" with the aim of defaming dissidents in many ideological cases, which is why it is difficult or impossible to validate these claims
