Bahareh Hedayat

Bahareh is a human rights defender, member of the Central Committee of the Office for the Consolidation of Unity, Iran's largest student organization, and a women's right activist . She holds a B.S in Economics from Tehran University's School of Economics and Finance. She is the recipient of the Hellman Hammet Award for defending human rights

She was sentenced to five years in prison on the charge of "Assembly and collusion against national security", two years on the charge of "Insulting the Supreme Leader", and six months on charges of "Insulting the President" and "Propagating against the system". Her two-year suspended prison sentence on the charge of "Attempts against national security via organizing the June 12, 2006 gathering was taken out of suspension and added to her sentence </coverage-outsourcing>

This ward is an enclosed hall that is about 30-35 meters, where the inmates are allowed less than an hour of fresh air every day.
