Sanaz Tafazoli
Sanaz Tafazoli is a Bahai citizen living in Mashhad. She was sentenced to long-term imprisonment due to her religious beliefs and activities. Additionally, some members of her family have experienced multiple arrests and convictions due to their adherence to the Bahá'í faith. Her uncle Manouchehr Rouhi was executed in 1984 for his faith.
In the Spring of 2022, the Islamic Republic started a new wave of crackdown on Baha’i citizens. The Islamic Republic arrested dozens of Baha’i citizens in different parts of the country or searched their houses. The prison sentences of some of the citizens who were previously sentenced went into effect, and agents attacked Roshan Kuh village and destroyed the houses of Baha’i villagers. <symbol-timeline></symbol-timeline>
