Hanan Hashemi is a Baha’i citizen in Shiraz. She was arrested during the new wave of the Islamic Republic’s crackdown on Baha’i citizens in the Spring of 2022.
In the Spring of 2022, the Islamic Republic started a new wave of crackdown on Baha’i citizens. The Islamic Republic arrested dozens of Baha’i citizens in different parts of the country or searched their houses. The prison sentences of some of the citizens who were previously sentenced went into effect, and agents attacked Roshan Kuh village and destroyed the houses of Baha’i villagers. <symbol-timeline></symbol-timeline>
