Jean-Michel Arnaud, Louis' father, told Euronews that he remembered the "painful moment" of the phone call from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the news of his son's arrest, and the fear caused by it, "because we knew that he was not arrested in just any country, but in Iran." According to Michel Arnaud, before this phone call, they had not heard from their son for several days, but since his son had promised not to go near the site of the protest demonstration in Iran, they were not too worried. He is accused of "participating in anti-security demonstrations and participating in anti-government propaganda," but Mr. Arnaud's parents insist that "none of these accusations are true." According to Euronews, the French government has told the Arnault family that it cannot give them much information and warned that even if there are negotiations to obtain their son's freedom, the family will not be informed. </reference> </coverage-outsourcing>
