Reza Arabpour
Reza Arabpour is from Izeh. He was arrested in the wave of arrests of activists, at the same time as the nationwide uprising in Iran in response to the murder of Mehsa Amini.
The national uprising of 2022 centered around the “woman, life, freedom” slogan was triggered in response to the murder of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini. The protests began sporadically in several cities and online space but in just a few days it spread to dozens of cities across Iran and the goal of the protesters changed to overthrowing the regime. <symbol-timeline></symbol-timeline>

The report stated that after the lawyer announced the flaws in the case to the court, the first branch of Ahvaz Revolution Court accepted the flaws, removed the case from the agenda of the court and returned it to the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office of Izeh to fix the flaws. According to the prosecutor's report, in crimes that could face the death penalty, the accused must have access to a lawyer in the pre-trial phase. Still, none of the accused had access to any lawyer. In the rest of the report, Vahid Abbasi's eye got infected due to the pellet stuck in it and he faced many vision problems, but the prison officials did not allow him to undergo surgery and said that "a death row person does not need eyes. </reference> </coverage-outsourcing>
