There was a clash between police forces and citizens during the protests that took place in Ahvaz's Malashie in 2011. During this altercation, a police officer was killed and a civilian was injured. Abbas Heidarian AKA Jasem son of Rahim, Ali (Jamshid) Heidarian AKA Tah son of Rahim, Abdolrahman Heidarian AKA Naser son of Rahim, Ali Naami (Sharifi), Amir Maavi and Abbas Heidari, son of Abdolhassan, were arrestd on charges of "Enmity against God" and "Murder of a police officer"

According to IPA, after months of being incarcerated in solitary confinement in Ahvaz's Intelligence Ministry Office, he was tried by Branch 4 of Ahvaz's Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Morteza Kiasati and sentenced to 18 years' imprisonment in exile to one of the prisons in the Mazandaran Province. This same court sentenced Ali, Abbas, and Abdolrahman Heidarian to execution and Amir Maavi to 35 years' imprisonment in exile to one of the prisons in Mazandaran Province.
