Keyvan Karimi
Keyvan Karimi was arrested for making the movie "Writing on the City" and sentenced to prison and flogging in the primary court. The sentence caused a backlash in domestic and international circles. The appeal court reduced the sentence but the lashing remained. "Writing on the City" is a documentary about graffiti in Tehran since the revolution.
