Masoud Masoudi Gharmalki

Masoud Masoudi Gharmaleki is a political activist in Masjed Soleyman. He was arrested in 2021 by the security forces and sentenced to prison on the charge of supporting MKO.

According to an IPA source, the judiciary has combined Mr. Masoudi’s different cases and he must stay in prison for two more years for another case where he was charged with crossing the border illegally. No to Prison-No to Execution reported that Mr. Masoudi was previously tried and sentenced to 25 years in prison on the charge of “supporting the MKO, propaganda against the state, act against national security, and forming dissident groups; but his sentence was reduced to 10 years in prison due to lack of evidence.” Also, the No to Prison-No to Execution campaign reported that during his time in prison Masoud Masoudi was repeatedly tortured to do a TV confession and the agents would put threatening letters and knives on his bed to pressure him.
