Navid Najaran
<p>Navid Najaran is a citizen living in Ahvaz. He was arrested along with several other people in the Ekbatan Complex case in Tehran, on the charge of assault that led to the death of an officer at the same time as the nationwide uprising in response to the murder of Mahsa Amini.</p>
The national uprising of 2022 centered around the “woman, life, freedom” slogan was triggered in response to the murder of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini. The protests began sporadically in several cities and online space but in just a few days it spread to dozens of cities across Iran and the goal of the protesters changed to overthrowing the regime. <symbol-timeline></symbol-timeline>

Payam Darfashan also considered the use of the "confession tactic by the defendants in the Ekbatan case as another flaw in the court and said: > The fallacy that was used in the Ajamian court was that they told the arrested people that you confessed that Dr. So-and-so kicked him so much that this happened. Babak Paknia, the lawyer of Alireza Barmarz Pournak, also said in this interview that in this case, four defendants are facing charges of Moharebeh (waging war against God and Islam), and the rest will be tried on charges of assembly and collusion to commit crimes against internal security and propaganda activities against the state. According to him, some of the defendants who were charged with moharebeh will be tried on the second day of the trial, and the other defendants will appear in court on the first day.
