Shahrzad Nazifi

Shahrzad Nazifi

Shahrzad Latifi, her husband, and her children are motocross competitors. In the first women's motocross championship in Iran in 2009 she and her daughter came in first and second.

Shahrzad Nazifi was sentenced to long-term prison for forming an illegal group. IPA can not confirm the charges that led to her conviction, but it seems that her religious belief and maybe her sport are not compatible with the state's ideology. In addition, Ms. Nazifi and her family have all been banned from motocross sport without a court ruling. <symbol-timeline></symbol-timeline>
