Mohammad Habibi

Mohammad Habibi is a teacher, political prisoner, and member of the directing board of the Iranian Teachers’ Trade Union. He was arrested on several occasions for his guild activism and sentenced to prison. He was fired by the Ministry of Education right before the 2021 International Teachers Day.

Mohammad Habibi opposed the monetization and commercialization of education in Iran which is against the principle of free education and article 30 of the Islamic Republic’s constitution. <symbol-timeline></symbol-timeline>
