  • <coverage-outsourcing id='16828'> Javad Lari was tried at branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran, headed by judge Salavati and condemned to execution on th e charge of “warring against god”. “Illegal departure from the country, going to camp Ashraf, acting against national security, propagating against the state by taking part in the 2009 protests, and finally, warring against god through membership in the MEK” where the charges against him in this case. According to an interview with Manijeh Mohammadi with The International Campaign for Human Rights, although there is no document as evidence of Mr. Lari’s membership in, or collaboration with, the MEK his condition is “unbelievable”, and judge Salavati without mentioning his witnesses declared him a member of the MEK and issued the verdict of execution. Ms. Mohammadi confirmed the fact that the lawyers did not have a chance to confer with the defendant before the trial. The Supreme Court of Iran sent the case to be further investigated by branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran, but judge Salavati, once again, condemned Mr. Lari to execution.
