At the same time as the nationwide uprising in Iran in response to the murder of Mahsa Amini - a 22-year-old girl from Saqqazi who was killed by the Irshad patrol officers - was arrested.

The national uprising of 2022 centered around the “woman, life, freedom” slogan was triggered in response to the murder of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini.
