Sahar Khodayari
Sahar Khodayari, known as the Blue Girl, was arrested by the police as she tried to enter a football match. It is said that after she went to court, one of the authorities told her of a six-month sentence. She left the courtroom and self-immolated herself and lost her life after a week.

The authorities told her that she had been sentenced to six months in prison. According to some media, she was actually told that she might be sentenced to six months in prison. After she left the courtroom, she spoke up in protest and then self-immolated. A few days after the event, her sister said that Ms Khodayari had a 90 percent third-degree burn. A week later, she passed away. Many football clubs, FIFA and human rights organizations protested the discriminatory attitude of the Iranian government to women and demanded permission for women to enter stadiums. The Iranian officials denied conviction of Sahar Khodayari but her arrest was confirmed by them. They said she had done this due to mental and psychological problems. The Iranian government has called many of its critics ‘menally sick’ after their death in prison.
