The Islamic Republic has claimed that Mahmoud Sadeghi and Heydar Ghorbani had "murdered" several Kamyaran citizens. Human rights organizations have not accepted this claim due to Iran's security systems background in prosecuting their opponents. <symbol-timeline></symbol-timeline>

Many of those who have been interviewed by Press TV and have then somehow espcated prison have declared that their confessions were gained under torture, the stories that they told were made-up and in some cases even courts of the Iranian government have acquitted prisoners of charges they had confessed to in interviews with Press TV.
