Amir Reza Arefi (Peyman Arefi) is accused of supporting Anjoman-e Padeshahi (the Kingdom Assembly). He was initially sentenced to death and then to prison in exile. He lost his wife and mother in a car accident on the way to visit

A week prior to this ,Tehran's Pubic and Revolutionary Judiciary announced that they have issued a death sentence on the charges of "Relations, collaboration with, or membership in organizations that aim to disrupt national security " to one of the elements of the Ashoora unrest. The Fars News Agency also cited indictments issued by Tehran's Public and Revolutionary Judiciary in the second trial which identified Arefi as having attempted to detonate bombs in multiple locations in Tehran and designing a large bomb meant to detonate in a voting station. In the indictment Amir Reza Arefi is said to have had relations with the CIA through Forood Fouladvand and tested a few bombs in the deserts neighboring Tehran, filming and transmitting the results to the US </coverage-outsourcing>
